KARACHI: Federal Minister for Water Resources, Faisal Vawda, on Tuesday said Prime Minister Imran Khan would inaugurate construction of Mohmand Dam on May 2, ARY News reported.

“I congratulate the nation on initiation of construction of Mohmand Dam. It was a project planned before my birth. The incumbent government will complete the Mohmand Dam project,” Faisal Vawda said while talking to media.

He said some external and internal powers tried to make Mohmand Dam as controversial as Kala Bagh Dam.

The federal minister said Chief of Army Staff General Qamar Javed Bajwa and former chief justice of Pakistan Justice (retd) Saqib Nisar were invited for the inauguration ceremony of the dam.
