Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah has announced that Pakistani pilgrims stranded in the kingdom due to their flights’ cancellation will be the guests of the ministry, ARY News reported on Friday. 

In a message on Twitter, the ministry said that: “Under the leadership of the Khadim-e-Harmain Sharifain and on behalf of the Saudi Government and the Saudi Crown Prince, Pakistani Umrah pilgrims stuck in the holy cities are guests of the Saudi Ministry of Hajj and Umrah to provide them comfort, until the flights to Pakistan are resumed. “.

Pakistan had closed its airspace on Wednesday after tensions with India escalated following the violation of Pakistan’s territorial boundaries by Indian jets.

In response, Pakistan had shot down two Indian Air Force jets and had captured a pilot. Prime Minister Imran Khan on Thursday announced that the captured pilot would be released soon.

Pakistan’s civil airspace, however, would remain close till Friday afternoon. Flights to and from Pakistan remain suspended since two days.

The flight operations are expected to normalise after Friday midday, it was learnt.

MUZAFFARGARH: A security guard in Muzaffargarh committed suicide by shooting himself in head reportedly after he was denied days off, ARY News has learnt. The incident took place last week on April 5 in Qasba Gujrat area of Muzaffargarh, and the CCTV footage acquired from the oil company where the deceased security guard was deployed has brought the matter to light. KARACHI: Export Industry owners facing adversity as they are unable to deliver their export orders due to gas load shedding and low pressure in Karachi, ARY News reported on Monday. As per details, gas crises have intensified in several parts of the metropolis, as winter began which is causing hurdles for the domestic and industrial units. President Site Association Saleem Parekh has said they are facing huge lose due to gas load shedding and low pressure in the city. “Export session is being badly affected, we are unable to deliver orders as Christmas is right on the corner,” said Saleem Parekh. Meanwhile, spokesperson of the Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has said gas pressure has dropped due to technical faults in the fields, efforts underway to resume supply at its full capacity, he added.
